Chapter 4 - Contemplation

So chapter 4 is finally done. I know it took longer than I said it would but thats just how it's gonna be from now on. There was a time when I could crank out a chapter in 3 weeks but due to life changes I can't always devote a lot of time to work on the comic, so each release is gonna be more sporadic. Also I want to do more oneshot stories, that are all separate but sorta connected and shortening the name of the comic to just "Ashbury".  Anyway, I'm gonna use mediafire from now on as my file host.

Halloween 2014

Happy holiday everyone. This set has 40 images and WOW it sure did take a lot longer than I planned. But I think it came out pretty nicely although the pacing isn't that great imo and probably could have stretched this into a 60img set if I had the time. 

Meanwhile chapter 4 has been on hold (i'm about 1/3 done with that.) and unfortunately I've been suffering from a little creative block lately. So hopefully you guys like this one.

Also, fileswap will no longer be providing free file hosting after december 1st so I'm on the look out for a new file sharing service. If you know of one, please leave a comment.

Halloween Set Poll

So while I'm working on chapter 4 I also wanted to do a halloween set this year. I didn't really have anything specific in mind, so I'll let you guys decide what this year's halloween set features.

You guys can vote for as many things as you want, but I'll be using the highest voted creature and theme (male/female, female/futa etc). If there's anything more specific you want to see just leave a comment and I may use your suggestion depending on what wins the poll.

Chapter 3 - Experimentation

Decided to do try something new and include a couple animated gifs with this chapter. So images 49 and 53 are animated. I'm not a pro at animating by any means but I think they're getting better. So I'll see if I can include some gifs in future chapters.

Chapter 2: Initiation

So I've come to the conclusion that blender is greater for pinups and such, but probably not the best for comics. I'll be taking a look at mental ray for Maya sometime in the next couple months. Sorry this one took so long, my display driver kept crashing, and I had to make some last minute rewrites. 

So mixed feelings about this one but I think most of the renders came out pretty good. I'll get started on chapter 3 immediately so there shouldn't be a huge wait next time. Feedback is welcome as always.

I have no words...

Some of you may remember a while back I mentioned I was going to see if Blender was a viable option to use in the comic. Well my first few attempts ended in frustration and I shelved the idea. Here are two test renders I just created; the top one was in Daz using one of my best light setups. The bottom image is the exact same scene rendered with Blender's cycles engine. 

I'm still flabbergasted by these results.

 So it looks like christmas came early this year. Stay tuned, this could mean some big changes around here.
