Not officially back yet.

Alright so I've been neglecting the blog and I'm starting to feel bad.  I've  just been preoccupied with work and school and haven't really felt like starting a new project for a while.

But I'm feeling much better now and decided to try the new Iray renderer for Daz4, and here are some of the test renders. I love the realistic look you get with Iray, but I'd like to know what you guys think. The tradeoff with using Iray is slower render time and a lot of my old content doesn't work in Daz Studio 4. I'm still concentrating on render quality and I haven't decided on a new project yet.

Any future chapters or image sets will have more sex and less dialogue, kinda like how I did chapter 8. So let me know what you guys think and if you have any questions I will try to reply as soon as I can.

  1. I think Iray renders in general look gorgeous, I find it hard to go back to comics rendered in Poser now. Whether the render times are longer or slower depends on how many cores your nvidia card has vs how good your CPU is. There may also be tricks to speed things up, like rendering an image at twice the intended size for a shorter time, then halving it with your favourite image processing software; the downsampling gets rid of a lot of noise and ends up giving very comparable results in half the time. Switching over fully may be a pain though, none of the materials will work out of the box without some conversion; there are some great utilities on the daz store for skins, but the props will be a pain.

On the subject of dialogue: if you just want to do sets, I would suggest you not add any dialogue at all. Personally I found chapter 8 somewhat disorienting, we start following a story, then lose all dialogue completely halfway through; I kept expecting something to happen, and the lack of any wrap-up words at the end fely very abrupt.

    1. Yeah, i think i'll just put most of the narration at the beginning after the title page and get rid of the speech bubbles.

    2. I can understand wanting to cut back on dialogue. But I personally like at least a little dialogue here and there, even just sex sounds, a little dirty talk. Otherwise it can seem a little too much like still-life to me. I suppose that's partly the lack of speed lines, like you'd have in a hand-drawn comic. But I digress.

  2. It's great to see you back making renders, the new format looks great and I think the new format for the next project as far as text goes sound great.

  3. Iray works mostly with the GPU. So you need to pony up for some serious graphic horsepower. The more power you have in the GPU the faster they render. I'm currently using a gtx 980ti and my render times are fairly short, depending on my sample size. I was using 2 gtx 970's and they kicked ass on times. So in other words you will need a high end gaming rig to work faster renders, like 3 to 5 hours for 16000 S/P. Of course I'm using Octane so your mileage will vary.

    1. Yeah, unfortunately i'm stuck with my current graphics card which is incompatible with iray.

  4. I can't comment about the technical details but the artwork looks great. The new blond looks great. You were always very good at body shape and beautiful faces. Genital size was a little exaggerated for me.

You were always very good at dialog too. The stories were interesting and erotic. Hope that there is still dialog, even if it is in a different location.

Is there a way to donate to your projects??

Great to have you back. Best of health and inspiration.

    1. Wow thanks. Personally I think writing is my weakest point, but don't worry i'm not going to completely get rid of the dialog. Right now i'm updating all the old characters; better models, better poses.
I will address the issue of donations later on.

  5. You might want to look at Patreon as a way of obtaining donations.

  6. I love your work and miss it that aside i well say chapter 6 felt lacking in speech maybe im just one for the side talk during sex scenes but i get it can be a lot and you want to do less but i just hope it wont be like chapter 8 less. Great work and thanks for the work you do.

    1. I agree, the whole thing could have been better written. Hopefully the LisaXClaire sex scene makes up for it.

  8. Great to see you back and the Iray stuff looks really good, particularly the last pic of the blonde.

I would hate to see you cut back on dialogue; it is a big part of what differentiates you from the many other dickgirl cartoons that, frankly, I find really boring. You actually have a story line and people that talk!

I second the comment above about Patreon, even if it is just focused on getting you a better graphics card – I will support you there.

  9. With Halloween coming quickly, how about a sequel set to the one you did in 2014 with Jane, her mom and her friend?
    Just a thought.

  10. Glad you are back. I really enjoyed the school series and ashbury. I like the talking during the sex scenes. I think it adds to scene.
